i dig the hardrock. my first bike was the same as that- the 300 dollar base model. I loved that thing and rode the hell out of it. I agree that the fork would need replacing, but just keep riding it, it won't kill you or anything. Don't upgrade to discs, just do that on the stinky, and lets see... yeah the cranks suck, but b*tch at specialized on that one for putting the worst possible components on their bikes. anyway good luck with the stinky ( i have a coiler and it rips) and also good luck finding a road bike (don't get too stuck on the fixienomenon |
